Buying Guide
This is one of the most common questions we get from exporters and CHAs, and getting it wrong means a rejected registration.
ICEGATE encrypts sensitive customs documents, Bills of Entry, Shipping Bills, during transmission, which requires an encryption certificate. A Signing-only DSC does not include this, so if you buy the wrong type, your ICEGATE registration will fail or you won't be able to sign documents.
You need a Class 3 Combo DSC (Signing + Encryption), registered against your IEC and authorized signatory.
This distinction trips up a lot of first-time ICEGATE users.
Authenticates who signed a document, works for MCA, GST, Income Tax filings.
Includes both signing and encryption certificates, required by ICEGATE.
We'll confirm Combo DSC pricing and get your ICEGATE registration sorted without the trial-and-error.
Not exactly upgraded, but we can issue a Combo certificate alongside it, message us and we'll sort out the most cost-effective path forward.
Yes, both Bill of Entry (import) and Shipping Bill (export) filings on ICEGATE require the same Combo DSC setup.
This depends on how you're registered on ICEGATE, most businesses use an Organization Combo DSC in their authorized signatory's name.
