Suspended vs revoked

Suspension is a temporary hold on a certificate's validity, often pending verification of something (like a compliance check or a dispute), whereas revocation is a permanent, final withdrawal. Depending on the reason for suspension, some certificates can be reinstated once the underlying issue is resolved, others may lead to revocation if unresolved.

What to do about a suspended DSC

1

Contact your Certifying Authority directly

They can confirm the specific reason for suspension and whether it's reversible in your case.

2

Resolve whatever triggered the suspension

This varies by cause, provide any missing documentation or clarification the CA has requested.

3

If reinstatement isn't possible, apply for a new DSC

Some suspension causes lead to eventual revocation rather than reinstatement, in which case a fresh certificate is the way forward.

Need a new DSC while yours is suspended?

If reinstatement isn't an option, we can issue a fresh Class 3 DSC quickly.
