Foreign directors, signatories and overseas companies filing in India follow a similar process, with a few extra document requirements.
Foreign nationals who are directors or authorized signatories on Indian company filings, and overseas companies with a registered presence or filing obligation in India, both need a Class 3 DSC, issued under Foreign Individual or Foreign Organisation categories respectively.
Instead of Aadhaar, foreign applicants typically verify identity using their passport, alongside the same video verification call. Documentation requirements are generally more detailed, address proof, and for organizations, incorporation documents from the foreign jurisdiction, often apostilled or notarised depending on the CA's requirements.
If the applicant is genuinely overseas, delivery of the physical USB token needs to be planned accordingly, international shipping takes longer than domestic delivery, factor this into your timeline if you have an Indian filing deadline.
We issue Foreign Individual and Foreign Organisation DSCs, guiding you through the specific documentation required.
