DGFT DSCs are a distinct product, linked to your IEC, here's what to buy and the exact steps to get one issued.
A DGFT DSC is issued specifically against your IEC (Import Export Code), which is registered to a business entity, so it's only available as an Organization certificate, not to individuals without an IEC. It's a separate product line from a standard Class 3 Signing or Combo DSC.
Have your IEC ready before you start, it's required for issuance.
If you don't have one yet, you'll need to apply for your Import Export Code first, a Signing DSC can actually be used to file that IEC application itself.
Provide your IEC number, company name, and the authorized signatory's details to your DSC provider.
