DGFT Guide
Changed your business address, bank details, or authorized signatory? Here's how to update your IEC, and what it means for your DSC.
Use your registered IEC credentials.
Find the option to modify or update your existing IEC details.
Update address, bank account, director/partner details, or other information as needed.
Most IEC modifications require DSC-based authentication to submit.
DGFT will process the update, check your application status on the portal.
If your authorized signatory changes, or your business entity structure changes significantly, you'll typically need a fresh DSC issued in the new signatory's name, your old certificate won't be valid for signing on behalf of a different person.
If your authorized signatory has changed, we can issue a new IEC-linked DSC to match your updated DGFT profile.
Only if the authorized signatory changes, address or bank detail updates alone typically don't require a new DSC.
This varies, DGFT typically processes straightforward updates within a few working days, track status on the portal.
No, viewing your IEC profile doesn't require DSC, only submitting changes does.
