GeM Troubleshooting
If your DSC isn't working correctly on GeM, here's what usually causes it.
| If you see this | Try this |
|---|---|
| Wrong certificate class or type | Only Class 3 DSC is accepted on GeM. If you're bidding on higher-value tenders, confirm whether Combo is specifically required. |
| PAN on DSC doesn't match GeM registration | Confirm the authorized signatory's PAN matches exactly between your DSC and your GeM profile. |
| Token not detected | Reinstall your token drivers, and try a different USB port. |
| Browser compatibility | Use Chrome or Firefox, and ensure you're on the latest version. |
| Signing works but bid submission fails | Confirm your DSC is registered specifically against your GeM profile, not just installed on your system. |
We provide remote troubleshooting for GeM DSC issues, and can issue a correctly configured certificate if yours needs replacing.
Each portal requires separate registration, and GeM has its own certificate class and PAN-matching requirements, check both.
No, an expired certificate will fail signing regardless of prior successful use, renew before your bid deadline.
For e-signing and bidding specifically, DSC is generally required, not Aadhaar e-Sign.
