Signing with a Class 3 DSC on macOS works similarly to Windows, but token driver installation is a common sticking point, here's the full process.
Before you can sign anything, macOS needs the correct token drivers installed, this is the step most people get stuck on.
Your token manufacturer (Wd Proxkey, InnaIT, HypSecu) publishes separate driver packages for macOS, don't use the Windows installer.
Run the .pkg or .dmg installer, and grant any security permissions macOS asks for (System Settings > Privacy & Security may need you to explicitly allow the driver).
A restart after driver installation avoids most detection issues.
Insert your USB token (using a USB-C adapter if needed on newer Macs) and check it's detected in the token management utility.
Once your token is detected, signing works much like on Windows.
Download Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for macOS if you don't already have it.
Same menu path as Windows, click Tools, select Certificates, then Digitally Sign, and draw your signature box.
Choose your DSC from the detected token, enter your token PIN, and click Sign.
Adobe will prompt you to save the signed PDF as a new file.
