MCA Troubleshooting
MCA uses emBridge, not emSigner, as its signing middleware. Here's how to fix the most common install and signing issues.
A common point of confusion, GST uses emSigner, while the Income Tax portal and MCA V3 both use emBridge. Installing or troubleshooting the wrong middleware won't fix an MCA signing issue, however similar the names sound.
Work through these in order.
Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, and remove any existing emBridge installation completely before reinstalling.
Get the current version from the official link provided on the MCA portal at the point of signing, don't use an old cached installer.
Right-click the installer and choose Run as Administrator to avoid permission-related failures.
Fully close and reopen your browser after installing, then reattempt signing.
Some token and portal combinations still depend on Java, ensure it's updated and not blocked by security settings.
We provide remote troubleshooting support for MCA signing issues, regardless of which CA issued your DSC.
emSigner is used exclusively for the GST portal. emBridge is used for the Income Tax portal and MCA V3. They are not interchangeable.
Not necessarily, but if signing fails after a renewal, reinstalling the latest version is one of the most reliable first fixes.
Chrome and Edge are generally recommended for the MCA V3 portal.
