Buying Guide
Not every DSC provider actually delivers on "fast and paperless." Here's what genuinely separates one that does from one that just claims to.
"Paperless" and "same-day" get thrown around by a lot of DSC resellers, but the actual experience varies wildly. Here's what to actually look for.
Some providers still ask for scanned documents, physical forms, or a courier pickup "just in case." A truly paperless provider verifies you entirely through Aadhaar OTP and a short video call, nothing to print, sign, or post.
"Same-day" should mean your certificate is generated and downloadable within hours of completing eKYC, not "we'll try, but it might take 2-3 working days." Ask directly what happens if you complete verification before noon, versus late afternoon.
If you're not in the same city as your provider, doorstep delivery matters more than most people realize. A provider limited to local pickup only isn't actually serving customers outside their city, regardless of what their website claims.
Receiving a USB token isn't the same as receiving a working one. Look for a provider that handles driver installation guidance and configuration support, so your first plug-in actually works, instead of leading to a support ticket.
If a provider won't show real numbers until you've given them your phone number, that's usually a sign pricing varies by how much they think they can charge you. A live, multi-CA price comparison is a much stronger signal of a straightforward business.

The old process meant physical documents and courier turnaround. Aadhaar eKYC removes both.

Drivers and configuration sorted before it reaches you, so it works the first time you plug it in.
We're an authorized Registration Authority, not a reseller guessing at the process.
We show live pricing across SpeedSign, vSign, Capricorn CA and eMudhra, not one hidden number.
You don't pay upfront and hope, payment happens once your certificate is actually approved.
Driver issues, token errors, portal registration help, available well beyond our Mon-Sat office hours.
Your USB token arrives configured, PAN India delivery, not just a bare device with no instructions.

Ask specifically what time your certificate would be ready if you complete eKYC right now, not "usually within 24 hours." A provider confident in same-day issuance will give you a direct answer, not a range.
Ask for the delivery charge as a separate line item before you pay. A transparent provider will tell you plainly whether it's included or an add-on, rather than folding it into a vague total.
A provider offering genuine setup support should be reachable for remote troubleshooting, not just a phone number that goes unanswered once you've paid. Ask what happens if the token isn't detected on first plug-in.
Certificate type, validity period, and which Certifying Authority issues it all affect price. A provider comparing multiple CAs openly is usually more trustworthy than one quoting a single flat number.
No, Aadhaar-based eKYC is actually a stronger identity check than manual document review, since it's verified directly against UIDAI records rather than a human eyeballing a scanned copy.
